      VA Healthcare Network Upstate NY, based in Albany, N.Y., provides medical services, health care and outpatient treatment to United States veterans in the surrounding area. The system encompasses the Stratton VA Medical Center in Albany and the 11 community-based outpatient clinics in Bainbridge, Malone, Kingston and Troy. Additional facilities in the network include medical centers in Bath, Canandaigua, Syracuse and Buffalo, N.Y. All VA systems fall under the National Department of Veteran Affairs in Washington, D.C., the United States government cabinet department that addresses the issues and needs of the country s veterans and their families.
