Located in Albany, N.Y., Sand Creek Middle School caters to more than 1,000 students from grades five through eight. Its students at each grade level are o n taught subjects, such as English, arts, mathematics, science, social studies and foreign language. Additionally, the school conducts and participates in several competitions, including math counts competition, district and capital area spelling bee, stock market game, local and statewide essay writing contests, Olympic of the visual arts and National Geographic geography bee. Sand Creek Middle School also provides students local and out-of-area field trips. It also offers students after school programs in several disciplines, including athletics, theater and computers. Sand Creek Middle School is part of the South Colonie Central School District, which has an enrollment of more than 5,000 students and comprises high, middle and elementary schools.
