Lamar Reese Magnet School of the Arts, located in Albany, Ga., is an elementary school offering a curriculum for students in grades kindergarten through five. The school has an enrollment of more than 500 students and is affiliated with the Dougherty County School System. Its curriculum includes various subjects, including science, mathematics and reasoning, language arts, reading and writing skills. In addition, it provides fine arts, music, computer technology and physical education classes. It offers a wide range of facilities, such as a library and media center, computer laboratory, and music and fine arts rooms. It also provides meal and medical services for the students. Lamar Reese Magnet School of the Arts is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.
