Established in 1999, AmericanWork provides a variety of support services for individuals and families. It serves children and adults with developmental disabilities. The agency also offers peer support services that include assistance with the development of social skills, interests and leisure activities. AmericanWork provides training related to various living skills, such as diet, personal hygiene, cooking, shopping, budgeting, housekeeping and intrapersonal relations. It also offers residential services for children and adolescents and includes individual and family therapies. The agency additionally provides diagnostic, nursing and physician assessment services. It offers case and behavior management and individual counseling solutions. AmericanWork conducts a developmental disabilities program that includes the intervention in the areas of social, emotional, physical and intellectual development. The agency s psychosocial rehabilitation is a facility-based service for individuals to increase and maintain competence in normal life activities.
