Excellent

Jim and Mary Pastor has given our area a great experience. They have shared all their knowledge and love of wine and beer making with all of us. With their family, John, Mike, and Jimmy at their side of providing great service, fun, laughter, and knowledge. Dave, Lisa, & Merideth have the same enthusiasim with the customers of the Grape. It is a great retreat to get away, have some laughs and enjoy being an adult. At the Grape "You will go in as a customer and leave as family" Ciao.

Business History
Established in 1992. The Grape and Granary began in 1992 when John, a then college student and avid home brewer, began working at a local home brewing supply shop in Akron. John and his father Jim purchased the retail operation of then 'Wines Inc'. and moved it to Tallmadge Avenue. The focus of the Grape and Granary has been customer service and education. With classes conducted regularly the customer base grew and 1999 the business moved to Evans Avenue and a larger location. In 2003 the Grape and Granary added a winery and wine-on-premise and moved to their current location at 915 Home Avenue. In 2013 the Grape and Granary has added a micro-distillery. The business continues to server brewers, winemakers and cheesemakers with attention to customer service, selection and knowledge.
