Aitkin Public Schools operates elementary, middle and high schools, and is located in Aitkin, Minn. Its curriculum includes early childhood screening, youth baby-sitting class, home buyer, adult basic reading, Web-base classes, Heartsaver training, Microsoft Excel and Word tutoring, and mail merge and computer tutoring. It also provides recreation programs, including youth soccer, tumbling and gymnastics, creative dance, youth hockey, youth archery league and ice-skating lessons. The school s health and wellness programs include water aerobics for adults, authentic beginner Japanese karate, and authentic intermediate and group hypnosis. It additionally provides family fun nights, Aitkin children's center fall semester, and Lakes and Pines Head Start programs. It also provides lunch and library facility to students.
