      R.E. Phelon, headquartered in Aiken, S.C., develops and manufactures ignition systems for the lawn and garden industry. Its engines are used in a range of machines and tools, including garden tractors, lawn mowers, weed trimmers and chain saws. The company produces ignitions, flywheels, solenoids, regulators, and alternators. It manufactures CS510 and DC410 series ignitions. Flywheels can be custom designed and are also available in standard form. Phelon engineering capabilities include application specific air flow testing, plastic rapid prototyping, 3-D CAD modeling, spin/burst testing, finite element stress and magnetic simulation. Phelon distributes its products through V.E. Petersen, located in Walbridge, Ohio.
