Sumac Elementary School is a part of Las Virgines Unified School District and enrolls students in grades kindergarten through five. Sumac Elementary School offers special education services that provide students the opportunity to benefit from their regular education peer models and participate in the school environment. Regular education students benefit as well by being exposed to peers with a variety of disabilities, and in turn, become more accepting and empathetic members of society. The district governs various high schools, such as Agoura High School, Calabasas High School and Indian Hills High School. It also operates various elementary schools, including Bay Laurel Elementary School, Chaparral Elementary School, Lupin Hill Elementary School, Round Meadow Elementary School, White Oak Elementary School, Willow Elementary School and Yerba Buena Elementary School.
