- Pediatric Care“As you may have noticed, the cold season started earlier this year and children of all ages are getting sick with runny nose, congestion, and a cough. We have received a lot of questions about RSV – ‘How do I know my child has it? What can I do for them if I think they have it?’ This article from the American Academy of Pediatrics best summarizes the disease this virus can cause as well as treatment & when to call the doctor. In general, we do not recommend testing for RSV as it is unlikely to change the care we give your child while they are ill.” -Dr. Darling
- Primary CareActon Medical Associates P.C. is an independently owned private practice. We are a committed group of internists and pediatricians who have united to provide convenient access to high quality primary care for patients of all ages. Because each physician owns his or her own practice, we have a strong commitment to clinical excellence. Our group is small enough that we can develop strong patient relationships and provide thoughtful decision-making, but large enough to meet most of our patients’ needs in our offices.
- Emergency CarePhysicians maintain a few open appointments each day to see acutely ill patients. An internist and pediatrician are on-call exclusively for patients in need of urgent care who cannot be seen by their own doctor.
- Flu ShotsPatients of all ages can now choose to use the web to request Annual Physicals, Well Child visits, and Flu Shot appointments with their Physician or preferred Nurse Practitioner.
- ImmunizationsDuring the public health emergency, COVID-19 tests, vaccinations, and some treatments were available at no cost to most people. Now that the public health emergency has ended, it is a good idea to contact your health plan to learn what has changed. Starting May 12, 2023, your benefits coverage, and the costs you will be responsible for paying out-of-pocket will vary depending on your health plan.
