Dr. I. Jay Freedman
General Info
Dr. Jay Freedman opened his dental practice in 1980 after graduating from Temple University School of Dentistry. Dr. Freedman is a life long resident of Eastern Montgomery County. He attended Roslyn Elementary School, graduated from Abington High School and received a BS in Biology from Temple University. In addition to his private practice Dr. Freedman is an active member in multiple avenues of organized and educational aspects of dentistry. He has been on staff at Abington Memorial Hospital as a member of the Dental Division since 1989. As a senior staff member, his responsibilities include post graduate clinical and didactic resident education, new resident selection, committees for materials, new technology and curriculum committee. Dr. Freedman’s office is used as one of the two offices for resident mentoring. He has served on the Executive Board of the local branch of the American Dental Association (Montgomery Bucks Dental Society) where his responsibilities have included continuing education program chairperson, recording secretary and he is currently serving as President. On a regional level, Dr. Freedman serves as a member on the Pennsylvania Dental Associations Valley Forge Dental Society Second District Access to Care committee where he is involved in formulating programs to help the “at risk” population to receive dental care. He also serves on the committee on membership. In addition to his active rolls in private practice, as a post graduate educator and in organized dentistry, Dr. Freedman has maintained a serious commitment to his own continuing education. He maintains membership in several study clubs; and has been a member of The American Academy of Implant Dentistry for over 15 years attending numerous national seminars yearly. This is the best dentist I have ever gone to! The services they provide are top notch and they always explore every single option with you. Everyone is so kind and personable and always go out of their way to make your experience an enjoyable one. And if you're scared about pain, no worries! The team here is so good at what they do that I have never experienced any pain what so ever. My whole family has been going here for years and we do not plan on changing that anytime soon.

Clearly this practice is counted among the top of area dental practices for expertise (and that from other professionals, docs and patients alike), but the real heart of this practice is their heart. In a medical world beat up by insurance regulations and ever shifting pharmaceutical and appliance company inventions, this group from the front desk onward love their work and it shows in everything they do and everyone they greet. I love these guys! And by the way, they're painless too.
He has saved my teeth a couple of times. Plus he cares about you. Today was very good again he saved me again. Was having bone loss from not cleaning right. So I bought one of his toothbrush recommended oral-B electronic 5000 Smart series for my plaque and tartar.

I don't have enough great words to explain Dr. Freedman. He's the best dentist ever! He's been my dentist for 16 years, and now he's the dentist for my kids. They love him too! He's professional, caring, compassionate, and always available for an emergency! His staff is also amazing. I know every one who works there, it's like visiting with friends! Also a great place to come for any dental work. My experiences with the dentist has always been great, and I am afraid to go to the dentist, but he has taken that away as did his staff.
Dr. Freedman is an experienced and caring dentist. Despite living in New York, I continue to visit Dr Freedman due to his convenient hours, accessibility and attention to detail. I'm always able to schedule an appointment during the holidays.
