      Johnston Memorial Hospital, located in Abingdon, Va., is a modern medical center that is equipped with advanced technology and has more than 700 employees and over 120 medical staff members. The hospital offers a range of health care services to patients, such as maternity care, orthopedics, imaging, nursing, blood bank, cardiopulmonary and diagnostic center. It maintains a 24-hour emergency department with a trained staff of physicians and nurses. It also provides oncology and imaging services and offers palliative care. Additionally, the hospital offers surgery, sleep medicine, pastoral care, and physical and occupational therapies. Its critical care unit and progressive care unit are staffed by nurses and medical personnel who are trained to provide intensive care for patients experiencing a critical or potentially life-threatening illness or injury.
