I worked at this facility for 2 weeks of a 6 week contract. Being a sterile processing tech, I take my job very serious.This is the absolutely worst facility I have ever been assigned to work.Noone seems to care about the patients. My contract was canceled because I refused to hand wash and flash heart and orthopedic implant trays. There is a process to ensure patients are not subjected to dirty instruments and the employees here take no reguard to those principles.This includes the supervisor (which was previously the secretary) the staff and the OR Charge nurses. I was not properly trained on the out dated equipment and the employees spend more time in the smoking area than they do in the department.If you care anything about the safety and well-being of yourself or family members PLEASE CHOOSE A DIFFERENT FACILITY TO HAVE SURGICAL PROCEDURES!!!!! These people Do Not Care about patients. They only care about making the doctors happy, even if it means jeopardizing patient safety. The washer doesnt even work properly. Someone needs to speak up and stop being afraid to tell the doctors NO!!! Explain that there is a method to ensure a quality surgical tray and cases should be scheduled accordingly.I really hope the CEO get those people in line!!! I pray he sees this review!!!!
