As far as Louisville goes - there is not better service center for brakes than Brakeway. I have a 93 Station Wagon and Dave has performed work on it three times and each time with low price and high satisfaction/quality. Check with these guys BEFORE you decide on a shop to perform your work. Chances are very good they will beat the price, attitude, and quality of any other shop within 50 mile radius.

I was super impressed with Dave who manages this shop. I had taken my 2000 Suburban to another auto place to find out what was wrong with it. They gave me a huge list of things that needed to be repaired. I left that auto place and then looked them up online and they had HORRIBLE reviews, usually involving dishonesty and up-selling. So I did some research and found this place. I read the reviews and decided to take my Suburban in. He looked at it for free and then told me what I really needed to have done. I didn't need everything done to my Suburban that the other place had said, of course! I still needed a good bit of work done on my brakes and Dave and his crew did a great job. I definitely agree with the other posters that they are both honest and fair. As long as I live in Louisville, I'll be planning to have them do my brakes.

Found this place via YP and the reviews are spot on. They have exceptional customer service. Both my husband and I got our brakes done and the mechanic showed us our old parts and explained to us why we experiencing trouble with our brakes. Will definitely recommend and go back!

I've come to Brakeway for several different services and every time they are so courteous and helpful. And I especially like the repair bill- always fair! The other day, Dave quoted a job $150 less than another mechanic here in town. I know where I will continue to take my business!

I've been going to these guys for a few years. They are HONEST & reasonably priced. I've had them check my brakes multiple times, but they have told me before that my brakes were fine and didn't need anything. I go to a dealership and they instantly want to replace them... wanted to charge me $400 to replace everything. I trust them to tell me the truth. I feel like they give an honest opinion based on what they would do for their own cars. They don't request their customers to replace parts that still have life on them.

Would I go back here? Definitely. They did everything up to my expectations and at a pretty fair price.

I was happy when this shop got me in on emergency within 24 hours of calling. The employees were courteous and sweet to me and didn't treat me like a total dumb@$$ for being a female with a busted down car. A couple hundred dollars later, whereas other shops tried to charge me $600+, my car rolled outta there just fine. Thanks guys!!
