I have to share my feedback as I don't want others to go through the terribly (unfortunate) experience I had at Salon Metric. It was hands down one of the worst and most unprofessional I've ever had.



I went in the evening as one of the last clients and in retrospect could see my stylist very unfocused. I had heard good things about the salon but didn't know much about the stylist - I really wish I had done more homework as the outcome was terrible!



As a new client I was hoping to chat with them about my cut and color, but they just jumped right in...I had asked for a very simple, natural gloss to match my hair color, nothing complicated at all. Unfortunately due to the stylist being so distracted I ended up with permanent color that was nearly black!! (I'm a very light brown) it was immediately evident but I had one of those "it can't be that bad" moments "I'm sure it's not as dark as it looks"....I paid, went home and realized how poor of a job it was.



I called a few days later as my hair was not only close to black, but showing signs of reddish tint near my hairline; bottom line they made a mistake and it needed to be fixed. I went back in, and although they were kind of nice, they were extremely unsure and kept looking at the toner package and commenting "just had to make sure how long it was supposed to sit" - not at all reassuring or professional. I left with slightly lighter hair and the promise that it would even out after a wash or two.



Fast forward a few days and my hair turned RED !! It was a horrible dye job that was terribly garish; they simply did not take the time or care to examine my hair when I first came in, made a major color mistake, tried to fix it and botched it even worse.



I ended up having to seek professional color correction - tons of time & money later and my hair is still much too dark

Sigh - a poor experience all around.



The fact that the employee was such an inexperienced stylist is really problematic. Due to their lack of care and color skills I won't be back and my hair will not be back to normal for a good many months - all around an awful experience at Salon Metric.

Awesome Salon!! I love the staff and the owner, Ian, is very passionate about running a great, upbeat and trendy salon! I will refer all of my friends and family!
