I believe Lil Kidz Closet is a scam. The owner, Thanna Dunaway, acts very nice, sweet, and chatty at first to develop the trust with her initially. The store was in Logan before moving to Layton.



In Logan, she gave me an account number so I can check when my items were sold. To develop the initial trust to set up this scam, she itemized items with the first few boxes to create visibility and traceability of payments when these items were sold.



After these initial itemized items and a couple of payments, she simply said every time to just drop the boxes – with their contents - in the back door and write my account number on the box. After I started to giving her many items, I started noticing that these items were not recorded when I checked my account on the computer at home. I called a few times and she would indicate that she does see it on her computer.



I would say 90% of my very gently used kids clothing – some still with tags on – and toys were never recorded. Some were even deleted after being recorded.



I am writing this commentary for two main purposes:



1. If you were scammed like I was, I ask that you report it to Better Business Bureau. With your reports, the BBB will see that there is a pattern of scamming by Lil Kidz Closet.



2. If you are considering doing business with Lil Kidz Closet, you might want to think twice. It won’t feel good once you know you were scammed.

This is now the ONLY place I'm ever going to for children's clothes. This isn't an ordinary consignment store. The quality of items sold is excellent. Don't look for those well-worn "garage sale" clothes; there is none. And who can beat 25-50% off sales when some of the name brand clothes are already going for $7.99 or even less? And the women who work there are the friendliest and so helpful. You have to check out this store before heading anywhere else.
