Showed her a picture of a long whispy layers cut and she said she could do it. I asked her to take off 6" and she took off atleast 15". My waist length hair that I've been growing out for 10 years is gone. And she asked me if for an extra $15 she could give a flat iron presicion cut so she could take off the weight in the right spots. I said sure as long as it's not a blunt straight edge cut. So now I have a short blunt cut instead of the long whispy layers that I requested and I paid $45 for it. What a mistake. Her name was Cindy

Sounds harsh? Not as harsh as the cuts and customer service we received!

The previous fun rock motif has been replaced by a more brothel approach... no longer welcoming to children. The fun loud music we heard on previous visits was substituded by music so loud you couldn't hear your stylist and they couldn't hear you. My two daughters, son and myself went for haircuts on a Saturday afternoon. We had about a 15 minute wait, which flew by. For my 2 year old, who had longer hair, we wanted to keep the "surfer dude" style, just a little shorter. Both girls picked out do's which I saved on my phone and presented to the hairstylist as well as my own. We spent a total of 30 minutes getting cuts, three stylists for the four of us. I tried keeping an eye on all the cuts, but they placed all three on chairs at the same time, so I had to walk back and forth to supervise (which did absolutely no good, at all). The stylist doing my son's hair even commented on how good he was. I walked to check on one of the girls, came back to find his hair 70% GONE! Walking to one of the girls, the stylist was curling her hair but I noticed how she was crimping the end. The kids were all done, semi wet hair, freshly cut, unwashed... didn't look bad. I thought I was being over critical at some of the cuts and left it alone. Then it was my turn... Get the hair washed, sit and SCREAM what I wanted and she went to work. We talked about my hair and length. To which she asked if I wanted it shoulder length before or after drying (impressive, right?). My cut took a total of TEN MINUTES!! After showing pictures, talking about it and getting it cut, it didn't look bad WET! When we returned home, we showered and washed our hair. I started noticing that those hyper-critical instances weren't just me! ALL the kids' hair were uneven (length or style-wise), where BOTH girls had STRANDS of hair longer than the cut they received. My hair was given what they call a "box cut", which is basically what you would get it you pulled all the hair back and gave it one long cut across the back. "No problem, we'll go back and fix it tomorrow, right?"... WRONG!!!! Not only did we have to wait over 30 minutes to be seen (because they were busy but took NEW business instead of fixing return customers with problems in an attempt of making them return SATISFIED customer) but they DIDN'T fix the problems!! Both girls re-sat to cut and were mangled more than before. When I sat down the stylist told me she gave me exactly what I asked for (the picture and description I have looked NOTHING like my cut). When I asked to simply get my money back, they refused due to us receiving exactly what we asked for and that they were perfectly good cuts... they were neither perfect nor good. I had to spend the same amount of money at a Hair Cuttery for them to FIX the hair cuts. The stylist there were flabbergasted at the cuts and in disbelief that they would not, or could not, fix the cuts. When I returned to Hair on Fire with my receipt from Hair Cuttery on the same day the OWNER refused to give us our money back, but would give us a credit. I WILL NEVER RETURN TO THIS PLACE and would NEVER recommend anyone else to it either. My son's hair is shorter than it has EVER been and my hair was so butchered that the stylist at Hair Cuttery had to take AN HOUR to fix it and she couldn't fix it ALL the way unless I wanted to go WAY shorter. Overall: a terrible experience I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy!

This place is a joke. Dont let them rip you off. Go to a salon in a better are, not next to a 7-11. My wife fixed their hair cut.

I don't know what all the bad reviews are, this place was great. And the prices are perfect. I'm sure most of the bad reviews are from the competition anyways.

I drove by many times and noticed the sign which stated Guys cut $10 and Girls $15. I decided to give them a try. My 17-year old daughter went in with a photo of what she wanted (very simple cut) side bangs/layered.. 1st she was only in the chair for 10 minutes.. the stylist would not listen, did not put a smock (clothes were soaking wet) and told her she was done and leave the chair, and to put salt in the wound charged her and extra $10! Now for my son, his hair does not even looked like it was cut a all and he was charged and additional $5 and took less then 5 minutes.. they took advantage of my kids and now I have to go somewhere else to get this fixed (the owner herself cut his hair.) It's so bad I don't want them to ever touch their hair, in fear of what I may end with - My son looks like he is wearing a helmet... please learn from my mistake and let everyone know to stay away!!!!!! The savings is not worth the pain, and my poor son is not as confident as he was before this crappy cut. They dont deserve one star. LOSERS

Excellent customer service. Gari and his team are highly skilled at what they do. Great with haircuts and coloring, highlights, low lights, roots, etc. Best haircut I ever got. My husband goes there and he loves it b/c he never has to make an appt and he is in and out in 10 minutes with a great haircut! the best part is that you get the same quality as these fancy salons here in Boca at a FRACTION of the price. I highly recommend Hair on Fire to anyone.

I went their on my way home from work with out an appointment and I was able to get seated immediately. The stylist was very nice and my hair cut was perfect. The price was extremely competitive. I would go there again and recomend that salon to anyone who needs a cut.
